YouthForce NOLA Collaborative Joins the Louisiana Skills Academy
The YouthForce NOLA collaborative is proud to join the National Skills Coalition's Louisiana Skills Academy. The National Skills Coalition (NSC) is a national career-readiness leader engaging local, state, and federal partners to ensure every worker has the skills needed for economic prosperity. In Louisiana, the Skills Academy will work with a variety of local partners to learn more about our federal and state workforce development policies and learn from our effective policy solutions and advocacy tactics.
Representatives from the following YouthForce NOLA Collaborative Steering Committee members were chosen to inform NSC of our collective efforts: United Way of Southeast Louisiana, the New Orleans Career Center, Baptist Community Ministries, Greater New Orleans, Inc., New Orleans Business Alliance, and Urban League of Louisiana. We would like to congratulate YouthForce NOLA Executive Vice President Melissa Ehlinger for being selected to be a part of this influential group. Together, our work is better preparing New Orleans grads for success in college and in careers.
