Shine and Dine: June 5 at 11:30am-1:00pm.
Shine & Dine is a mentorship luncheon at a fine dining restaurant that creates a space for our young people to receive mentorship and gain insights from professionals. Interns will use this lunch to learn about navigating the world of work from professionals -- like yourself! Imagine all the questions you had about the professional world at the start of your career. This is an opportunity to share the insight you’ve gained with a younger generation with those questions.
The event will take place on June 5 from 11am-1pm at Bourbon House, Palace Cafe, Calcasieu, and Brennan’s. RSVP here.
Mock Networking: June 7
During the YouthForce Internships program, participating youth will have many opportunities to develop their professional networks and make positive impressions on possible future employers. At Mock Networking, volunteers will help students prepare to network before they experience the real thing. Youth will engage with volunteers as if the volunteers are employers, and volunteers will provide feedback to help students grow professionally. RSVP here for one of two slots (9:45-10:45am or 12:00-1:00pm), which will take place at the Pan Am building, 601 Poydras St on the 11th floor.
