Communities of Practice

Teachers who provide instruction in a career pathway program may feel isolated because they often operate as a “department of one” within their high schools. To overcome this challenge, YouthForce NOLA hosts Communities of Practice to bring together industry-based credentialed instructors and administrators from across the region to ensure classroom-to-career curriculum alignment. The educators work collaboratively to share innovative ideas, best practices, and resources to ensure students are equipped with the knowledge and skills for post-secondary success.
